The World
This is a list of all the parties' known places in Grimstrech.
Places
Bedrock
A large, industrial dwarf city where all the minerals and resources from the surrounding outposts are sent for processing, stockpiling and transport. Has vast undergrounds storage facilities as well as numerous steam powered forges for smelting, also the first/earliest surviving stop on the Steamway.
The Dull Blue
Ironically named sea that borders Grimstretch, a restless and relentlessly stormy ocean. Very few who've sailed its waters can say to have returned safely.
Dusk Manor
The parties' current home base - captured from bandits who were holding Kel the Greaser hostage.
The Dusty Trail
A long and arduous trek that leads from Korm in the north into Dwarven territory in the south, with the first point of call being Krakker's Crag.
Grimstretch
The name of the continent, desert/arid landscape with the main society being dwarves with a few tribes of orcs and lizardmen, and rare appearances from other races such as tabaxi.
The land of Grimstretch is aptly named, for it is a barren and harsh place with many dangers to catch the unwary traveller off-guard. Large arid desert expanses span the majority of the landscape, with rare oases created by steam forcing it's way through the ground to create geysers that give what little nutrition can be found to the surrounding terrain.
The only real society to be found in the region consists of the Dwarves, with there also being the odd barbaric tribe subsisting and bandit/orc warbands plaguing the region with their guerilla tactics and animalistic viciousness.
A small nugget of humans have claimed some territory to the north west, but they are mostly a raggle-taggle group who trade what wares they can find or craft with the Dwarves for weapons, armour and raw materials.
Korm
The largest human settlement to be found near Grimstretch, a cluster of different tribes and travellers banded together against the harshness of their surroundings to form a bulkhead unlike any of the other hamlets and villages in the region.
Krakker's Crag
A small mining and trading outpost to the North of Grimstrech, with a tavern and general store as well as workhouse (mercenary employment). Where the party starts their campaign. Named as such due to the first Dwarf who founded the settlement on a deposit of iron many moons ago – Denus Krakker, the outpost lies off a raised rocky outcrop with a few sparse shacks surrounding 3 main structures vaguely sheltered amongst the remains of an seemingly ancient defensive wall.
